OxyContin the “Legal” Heroin

  • Had enough of being addicted to OxyContin?
  • Want to quit but don’t want to suffer through the pain?
  • Can’t do it on your own?

OxyContin Is Today’s Heroin

At Novus, we know OxyContin. We know detox.

OxyContin creates a euphoric effect similar to that associated with heroin use. It is, in essence, “legal” heroin. The active ingredient in OxyContin is oxycodone, a substance found in several different analgesic painkillers, most containing only a small amount of oxycodone.

Unfortunately, because OxyContin is a time-release formula, it contains a much higher dosage of oxycodone — from 40 to 160 milligrams. Addicts are able to increase their dosage by simply crushing, chewing, snorting or dissolving in water and shooting OxyContin.

The time-release characteristic of it can be easily bypassed so that the abuser gets a much higher dosage of oxycodone, which is extremely habit forming.

no more one-size-fits-all oxycontin detox

Before Novus, detoxing from OxyContin was a dangerous proposition.

Quitting “cold turkey” is next to impossible, and even those who complete the “one-size-fits-all” detox usually return to the drug. Most detox centers simply cannot successfully handle the OxyContin user.

The dangers occurring during OxyContin detox side effects are numerous, including:

  • Grinding nausea
  • Violent vomiting
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Uncontrollable coughing
  • Nervousness and severe agitation
  • Rapid and/or irregular heartbeat
  • And this horror could continue for days—or even weeks! Detoxing from oxycodone can be very dangerous.

The Novus Difference

Novus Medical Detox routinely handles OxyContin patients when others have not been successful. This is because we fully understand OxyContin addiction, and have developed industry best-standards and proprietary vitamin protocols for successfully handling these sensitive detoxes.

Our new, specialized medical detox protocols exist to help ease the side effects of withdrawal, while shortening the time required for detox and safely getting someone through the detox process — including OxyContin.

Now, you can effectively detox from oxycodone and go home a “new” person — the one you always wanted to be.

We develop an individualized medical detox program specifically for each of our patients, which means no recovery will look the same. Our delicious food, nutritional IVs and supplements, and specialized detox protocols are all designed to quicken the healing process. We understand that various addictions present a number of issues for the human body, so we create our IVs and diets to fit the needs of specific withdrawal symptoms.

Our process is all about you, which is why we have private and shared rooms available for our residents. Each room is outfitted with a TV, telephone, and access to the internet. We also provide educational classes that will show you how the drug or alcohol of your choice affects your body. We believe that to effectively fight off your withdrawal symptoms, it is important to know what you are fighting against and what to be prepared for.
