The staff was great. I was very impressed to see that many members of the staff have overcome addiction themselves. I believe this is very important to helping them identify with patient needs.
While at Novus through conversations with staff and counselors, I have come to realize that I have the strength to overcome my addiction to opiates. Many of the counselors related to my fears and experiences of fighting my dependency to drugs. I now feel like there is hope for a normal, sober life.

It was a pleasurable detox if there is such a thing. I've been through this before and this was nice compared to the rest.
I'm done with drugs. I have no more chances. I've realized that my body is the only one I got and I need to take care of it. I've also realized through your terrific counselors who deserve kick backs as well as an increased salary that it's possible to live sober, happy and free.

I realized that substances ran my life everyday. That’s what I lived for. Now I know that isn’t my purpose. I am meant for better things. I feel I can finally control my cravings and answers are not found in pills. I want to go back to college and make something of myself. Novus has changed me for the better and I am glad for it. It saved my life now I have to move on to the next step and live.
