Q. To help us
better serve our incoming patients, would you
please provide us with any comments that you would
care to make about your stay at Novus.
A. "The
living accommodations were very extremely
comfortable and amenable. Patient's rights were
completely respected. Privacy was also respected.
The food served was excellent, and the meals were
healthy and served in a timely manner.
The
nursing staff was both friendly and very
professional. They made sure all necessary meds
were distributed and shots and vital signs were
done as needed.
The
counselors were all extremely friendly,
knowledgeable, and helpful. More than anyone, they
helped make the stay here as pleasant as
possible.
Overall,
I enjoyed my stay here and feel it will help
improve me as a person in a number of ways beyond
just overcoming my addiction. I would definitely
recommend to others who need help."

A. "JJ Bush
took time personally to issue assists, work out
with me, and just talk. Made the
stay pleasant.
Ty
always offering help and asking me how I felt.
Showed genuine concern.
Kara
went out of her way to show friendliness and offer
help."
Q. Please
write any wins, realizations or decisions that you
have experienced or made while at
Novus.
A.
" Physical- When I came in I hadn't run or worked
out for at least 6 to 8 months.
Through
the combination of counseling and available
facilities, I was able to begin both again. This
has resulted in a 100% turnaround in my outlook on
myself physically.
Now
I plan to carry these activities back into my
daily routine. This will make me stronger both
physically and mentally.
Mental-
When I came here I was extremely lethargic and
willing to settle for less than I was capable,
pretty much for everything in my life. While here,
I was able to constructively use my time to look
for jobs on the internet and set up interviews
over the phone, while at the same time going
through my treatment. I look to
take
this more ambitious attitude out with me in my
future endeavors. A positive approach leads to
positive results, I learned that in my stay at
Novus.
Psychological-
When I came here I had great trouble sleeping
fitfully (alcohol related of course). Now after
only being clean for a few days I can already see
and feel the difference. I sleep much more
soundly, have much more energy, and have a more
positive outlook on life.
Philosophical-
I now believe alcohol served no good purpose in my
life ultimately, and now can only do me harm. I
have come to realize there are many other
positive, healthy alternatives out
there."
