"Coming to Novus helped me realize there is no shame on getting some help. I reached bottom and with a new addition to the family I know my addiction had to stop. I, like every one else, tried doing it on my own only to feel miserable and just make my addiction worse.
The extremely knowledgeable staff answer any questions you may have. There is truly no feeling of judgment, everyone is treated equally and the nurses help you through this difficult time with minimal discomfort.
I would like to acknowledge some staff. In counseling, Hayden and JJ were great. It felt like hanging out with the boys on a weekend in high school. And the nurses, Patty and Frances were like mothers always checking on you and your condition doing everything possible to make you comfortable 24/7.
This is truly a warm and comfortable place, perfect in helping you start this positive transition in your life. For me it was Oxycodone. But opiates, benzos, alcohol or street drugs, the experienced and knowledgeable staff will get you through it. Just remember there is no shame in needing help. And when you realize you do, come down to beautiful Pasco County Florida and get clean under the sun. Thank you guys. You saved my family and for that I am forever in your debt."

It is said that all journeys start with the first step. For hundreds of our patients, 2008 was a very good year. Our patients took the first step toward achieving freedom from drugs and alcohol. Many have told us that they have tried to detox at other facilities but never succeeded until they came to Novus. We are very proud that our protocols, staff and facility are unmatched and that we uniformly receive great success stories from our patients.

"My stay at Novus well exceeded my expectations. Each and every person has helped to make me as comfortable as possible during a really terrible time. Every need I had was tended to and I am truly glad I chose this facility.
Truly, everyone! I mean, where to start? Counselors, nurses, owners, directors, cleaning staff, cooking staff. All were so kind and helpful and understanding.
Food: 5 of 5. Food was excellent and staff as well. Very accommodating. Healthy, fresh and tasty, always. Thank you so much. They prepared vegetarian masterpieces. :)

Well, my "wins, realizations or decisions" are pretty elemental, but monumental to just life. I realize I am stronger than I had thought. That there is a big beautiful world I had forgotten about, waiting always to be enjoyed. Sadness, pain, suffering, violence included. I'm an emotional person and that's okay. It's ok - no fundamental - to ask for help. We're social, interdependent and connected beings who need each other. I'm scared and anxious but most of my fear lies in what isn't yet and amongst other important truths the counselors here at Novus have helped remind me of is that all is temporary and each day is to be experienced as it happens.
Also, vitamins and good food is pivotal... thank you again. :) "

"I really can't say if there is anything you guys can do to get any better when you're already second to none. The whole staff is just awesome. Every one of you guys are top gun.

My experience at the Novus center was truly second to none. Going in I was very skeptical but once I got there I was truly made to feel that I was in the right place for my problem. The staff made me as comfortable as I could possibly get and their knowledge of their job is awesome. The staff was truly the nicest people I've ever met. I realized through the counselors and nurses there is a better life without drugs and that I will be part of that better life now that I went through this wonderful program. I really feel the Novus center saved my life."
